back to topTanya Fletcher
ReporterA self-proclaimed farm-girl turned city-girl, Tanya grew up in rural southern Alberta. Her lifelong passion for travel was confirmed when she moved to Monterrey, Mexico, at the age of 16 on a student exchange. After graduating high school, Tanya spent a year overseas travelling and attending a post-secondary institution. Upon returning to Alberta, she moved to Calgary and was accepted at Mount Royal College where she graduated four years later with a broadcasting diploma and journalism degree. In an attempt to satisfy a seemingly never-ending need for adventure, Tanya spent a year working as a flight attendant for WestJet. Despite the “dream job”, it wasn’t long before the life of a journalist came calling once again. Gaining experience at CHAT-TV in Medicine Hat, CTV Lethbridge, and CTV Calgary, Tanya then joined Energy-TV as a reporter in August, 2008. Since then, she has also taken up a reporting position at 660 News and is a freelance writer for Home to Home magazine as well.
