A Canadian Co2 Capture and Storage Initiative
ICO2N stands for Integrated CO2 Network, a proposed carbon capture and storage (CCS) system for Canada.
The companies that work in cooperation with the Integrated CO2 Network carbon capture and storage enterprise are the representatives of a cross-section of Canadian industry that is dedicated to assisting Canada encounter its climate change objectives. These companies also give assistance to economic growth of Integrated CO2 Network.
After this proposed Canadian carbon capture and storage system is built, it will transfer all the carbon dioxide (CO2) that is captured from various industrial areas via pipeline to storage locations that are deep underground. That was pointed by studies that the Integrated CO2 Network carbon capture and storage proposal is likely to be successful in decreasing Canada's carbon dioxide emissions by 20 million tonnes. In order to achive the same amount of reduced emissions in Canada, four million cars have to be removed from the road every year.
