The company offers fish processing, fuel storage tanks, metallic enclosures, demobilization of offshore supply vessels, diving equipment, and so on. D.F. Barnes is fully certified, and may design and manufacture multitudes of custom machined and metal products for customers.

With one of three main facilities located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, D.F. Barnes is close to its marine and offshore customers via major city roadways and the waterfront. The perimeter of the operation houses multi-national oil companies, engineering firms, and government offices. D.F. Barnes leases a combined 10,000 sq. ft of production and office space, with an additional 14,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space to be leased in the future.  

D.F. Barnes currently shares a space with a group of strategic customers and suppliers including: Ozark Services Ltd, DGN Electrical Ltd, Penney Energy Ltd, Eastern Industrial Ltd, and Hydraulic Systems Ltd.
