Lakeland College - Lloydminister

Lakeland College began in Vermilion, Alberta in 1913, primarily as a school of agriculture.  Today, the institution focuses on adventure tourism, education, interior design, and the trades. It was in the 1990’s that Lakeland College opened its second campus in Lloydminster, Alberta. The campuses have since committed to building and preserving a tight-knit community for better learning.

The booming town of Lloydminster is home to 25,000, and is known for its heavy oil production.  Lakeland College’s Heavy Oil Operations Technician program helps to meet the local oil and gas industry’s needs, by providing its educated and experienced graduates.  Lakeland graduates are often employed immediately after course completion and will earn an annual starting salary of approximately $60,000.
