ConocoPhillips SAGD facility near Fort McMurray, Alberta has been up and running for about a year. Kevin Meyers, President of ConocoPhillips Canada, explains how SAGD works, and why it’s so effective for oil sands production. An impressive amount of water is recycled in the SAGD operation, and one material used in the SAGD operation is quite a surprise.
