Uphill Slope for Gas

Alaska contains major reserves of North Slope gas, however producing and exporting the supply is a challenge nearly 30 years in the making. Currently, five companies, including TransCanada have submitted applications for the exclusive right to build a natural gas pipeline to transport North Slope gas to market. A decision will be made over the next few months as to what company is approved as a partner by the Alaskan government.
